How can I search and find a file?

Cargosnap patiently stores lots and lots of files. How do you find your file back? Well, use our simple search, or go more advanced.

Simple search

When you know your reference, finding your file back is really easy:

Just fill in your reference here. The search will automatically show the file(s) matching the reference you're typing in.

Advanced search options

That was pretty cool, right? But what if that did not allow you to find the files you need? What if your colleague pops in with something like:

"Get me all files which John worked on last month, where the container had damage and the temperature on the logger was below 25 degrees"

Nice one, boss.... Well, good that there is more! Check these options here:

Each of them allows you to narrow down your search as follows:

  • "File is open": only open files are displayed. When not enabled, both open and closed files will be displayed.

  • "Contains damage": will filter only files where one or more of the Cargosnaps in the file have been flagged as damaged.

  • "Created between": provides a data filter option (select the date between which the file was created in Cargosnap).

  • "Search on device": filter files to which a specific device added snaps/forms etc.

  • "Search on field": if your file contains fields, you can narrow down your search to only display files with matching field values. Or even more powerful, when a field is a number, you can filter on values being bigger/smaller than such a value

I bet you just found the files you were looking for! ;-)
