Welcome to Cargosnap. 3rd party app use

You were invited to use Cargosnap and probably wonder what to do now…..

Updated over a week ago

Well, let us try to talk you through the process!

let’s get snapping!

The typical use case will require the following three steps:

  1. Register your device(s)

  2. Scan a reference of sorts with the “top widget”

  3. Add data with the bottom widget

Optionally, you may have received an account, tied to your email address to register on the platform. Go here to log on to the platform, and we'll assist you to add and use the collected data from there.

You probably received a QR code, one for each device you need to register. If you did not get one, please contact the company that invited you to use Cargosnap for this code.

1. Register your device(s)

Install the app from your device app store:

Then, when you open the app, click the "Register" button and scan the QR code. This action only needs to be performed once. Also note that _each QR code can be used only once_, so in case you wish to register a second device, you will need to get an additional QR code for that.

2. Scan a reference of sorts with the "top widget"

Tap the top area and scan or enter the reference you use in communicating with your supply chain partner (in the video we scan a container code, but this can also be a QR code, barcode, or other).

3. Add data with the bottom widget

The bottom widget (the lower part of the app) is the section where you can take and store photos, video, document scans and fill in forms. On each "snap" you take as such, press "Save" in the right upper corner to store the document.

Depending on who you work with, you will be presented with a workflow that helps you to step through the required inspection steps. For example, per the video:

  1. First, you open the app ( 😊 )

  2. Tap the top area, to open the “container ID scanner” -> point it at the container you are loading. The app will read the container code and fill it into the app, in the top area.

  3. Now move on to the “bottom area” -> click 'Take container pictures' (or whatever process you need recording)

  4. The app will open a camera viewer, in a number of steps. Simply follow the instruction listed in the blue area and click the camera icon to record the specific required piece of information

  5. Upon completing the flow, you will see the big tickmark to show you’re done. You may click the green icon near the bottom to exit the workflow, to move on to the next container, for example.

That's all! Note that the app also has a menu (draw from the left), in the queue you can track the status of the uploads, as also shown in the video.
