Build your own app, with Widgets

No programming required, but you can configure the Cargosnap app (per team) to work exactly as you need, just "drag and drop" the widgets.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Since every process is unique, Cargosnap made a super flexible app that fits every process and need.

⚠️ Important: All customers who created their account before May 2021 were able to change the settings on individual devices, like:

- Available widgets and top scanners
- Permissions for uploading without Wi-Fi

- Photo storage settings

- Automatic uploads in case of damage

Starting from March 24 (2025), this won’t be possible anymore. All devices will stick to their team’s settings to avoid confusion and make managing your teams easier.

Manage the app widgets of all devices in one team

How to get there?

  1. To build your own app, and set the defaults, navigate to "Teams, Devices and Users", via your company name in the upper right corner.

  2. Select the team which settings you would like to update.

  3. Select "default device settings"

  4. Select "Manage Widgets"

Manage the app widgets

To build the app, simply select top and bottom widgets from the drop-down menus on the right. You can subsequently drag and drop the blocks, to change the sequence in which these widgets appear in your app.

To learn more about each widget, read this article.

5. When the correct widgets are shown click on "Save Changes". This sets the parameters for all future app settings for this Team.

If you're on an older version of the platform, you might see the option "apply to devices". In this case, if you have existing devices in the location, which you want these new settings to be applied to, click "Apply to devices" and select the devices to update.

Receive settings on device

Devices will automatically receive the updated settings at certain times (e.g. when the app restarts). But you can also retrieve the settings immediately by clicking the "Reload settings" button under "Advanced" in the app menu:
