How to Disable Battery Optimization for the Cargosnap App (Android)

Prevent upload delays and ensure a stable connection during your operations

When you’re working in the field using the Cargosnap app, your photos, videos, and data must be uploaded to the platform at your earliest convenience. On some Android devices, the battery optimization feature may limit the app’s background activity, including internet connection limitation, which can cause delays or leave uploads pending.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, we recommend disabling battery optimization specifically for Cargosnap. This does not significantly increase battery usage, but it does prevent the system from blocking your connection or pausing background tasks.

 Why does this happen?

Manufacturers like Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, Huawei, and others often include aggressive battery-saving layers. While helpful in daily use, these features may interpret Cargosnap as “inactive,” even if you’ve only locked the screen or switched apps briefly — and that can stop uploads from completing.

Disabling optimization ensures the app stays active throughout your workflow.

How to Disable Battery Optimization (step-by-step)

Paths may vary by brand, but these are the most common ones.

🔹 Option 1: Standard Android path

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Select Cargosnap
  4. Go to Battery
  5. Choose Unrestricted or Allow background activity

🔹 Option 2: Advanced settings

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Select Special access
  4. Choose Battery optimization
  5. Switch the list to All apps
