Each logistics operation is different. But in some situations you may have a team or site working exclusively for an (external) stakeholder (e.g. with subcontracted logistics or full 4PL activities). Then you may want to share everything you do with another company. That's what this article is about.
Quick note: in order to set up this workflow, you need to have SuperAdmin permissions in your Cargosnap account.
Example
For this article, we will assume two companies:
LogiCorp: this is a company of logistics experts, performing logistics operations on site with their customers. LogiCorp has a Standard Cargosnap account.
ProdCo: a producer of widgets. Focussed on widgets production, they outsourced their logistics operations to LogiCorp, but would still like to keep an eye on their product handling activities. ProdCo has a Free Cargosnap account.
Let's make this work!
It goes like this, LogiCorp should:
enable the use of contact lists
create a Contact List with one or more email addresses of the contact(s) at ProdCo. Give it a name (e.g. ProdCo or Demo2), and a unique ID (e.g. 1, or the customer number of ProdCo in the LogiCorp administration)
"Team" ⇾ click the ProdCo team. Find "Default Sharing Settings" ⇾ click "Automatic Sharing..." ⇾ select the Contact List you created, and Save. (Note, the default subject may be of interest too)
create a new file in this team, and it is shared! Nothing more to do; Easy!
