☝️ Note: this feature is available only in App version 3.11.3 and higher. Please make sure to update your device app version.
When you work for multiple teams or maybe even multiple organizations, you can now register your Cargosnap mobile app to each of those teams. And switch between those teams as you move to a different task!
Add your device to multiple teams
We will assume you have an active device in a company (let's say "Acme") and you're also invited to a team at "Universal Exports". Follow these steps to register your device with that second company:
1: Click the menu bar and open the "Advanced" option:
2: Clicking "Teams" will open the following dialogue:
3: Click the [➕] icon to open the camera allowing you to scan the QR code to register your device, just like you did when you joined Acme (in case you don't recall, read up here how a device is registered). Done!
Notice how you will now see a new button in your screen in the upper right corner. You'll need that for the next step (documented 👇below ).
💡 Attention! You may repeat this step up to 7 times, thus joining up to 8 companies.
Alternatively to the above registration flow, you may be invited by email to join a company. Simply clicking 'Join company' on that invite will add your device to that additional company.
Switch between teams or companies
Now comes the easiest bit. To change between teams, just click the round button in the right upper corner of the app. This will open the overview of teams/companies you've registered with. To switch, simply tap the team which you want to perform an inspection under:
As you can see, you may switch between teams in your own company (under "Acme"), or to a whole different company ("Universal Exports"). Confirm the change in a second step:
Settings will automatically be reloaded, thus you will receive all workflows of the team you've switched to, and - of course - all your work done will be uploaded to that specific company. You may switch while online or offline.
🚧 Avoid mistakes!
Now, there are some "risks" we'd like to point out here when using this feature. Please be aware that once you've selected a specific team, all executed workflows/snaps/forms, etc. will indeed be registered under that team, in the selected account. You cannot change back.
| Pay attention to the "current team"
So as an app user, please beware of the account you are executing under! We've given different colors to each of your teams, so beware when you execute a workflow.
| Enforce your reference formats
Avoid mis-scans by setting a specific reference format, on your teams. Read more about how to do so, here.
