Re-register a device
After taking some time off from Cargosnap, you want to activate the app again on your device. This is what you need to know.
That helps (as opposed to for example deleting and creating a new device) as it will maintain all your settings and make searching for assets from that device easier.
Important: You can only re-register a device if you use the exact same piece of hardware (mobile phone, scanner, etc.). In other words: the same phone you were using before.
If you lost/damaged your old phone or you simply bought a new one and you are now using a completely different type of hardware, this means you first have to create a new device in the web app. More information can be found here: 'How to add a device'.
Re-registering or recovering the device is done as follows:
☝️ Note: to remove a user, you need to be either:

A "Manager" of the team of the user you want to remove;

Or an Admin ("LicenseAdmin" or "SuperAdmin")

In the upper right corner, click on your company name and navigate to "Teams, devices & users";

Then, go to "Devices" to locate the device you would like to re-register;

Click "Activate" to set up the app again, by generating a new QR code so you can scan it from the new device. Much like you did initially.
