Re-register a device

You lost or damaged your phone, or upgraded to the latest type? Sometimes you need to migrate your phone app. Check out how.

If you need to re-register a device, you can do so!

That helps (as opposed to for example deleting and creating a new device) as it will maintain all your settings and make searching for assets from that device easier.

Re-registering or recovering the device is done as follows:

☝️ Note: to remove a user, you need to be either:

  • A "Manager" of the team of the user you want to remove;

  • Or an Admin ("LicenseAdmin" or "SuperAdmin")

  • In the upper right corner, click on your company name and navigate to "Teams, devices & users";

  • Then, go to "Devices" to locate the device you would like to manage;

  • Click the deactivate button & confirm  (be sure you selected the right device because this will deactivate the registered Cargosnap app from the old device);

  • Click "Activate" to set up the app again, by generating a new QR code so you can scan it from the new device. Much like you did initially.
